Presentations for ICUR should be 15 minutes long with a further 30 minutes to allow for questions following all presentations in the panel.
You can use PowerPoint or Prezi to support your talk but do think imaginatively and creatively about how to engage your audience. Don’t be afraid of getting them involved or presenting without technological support. The rooms you will be presenting in should have an element of flexibility so think about whether you’d like to move furniture (or people) around.
Just so you get the feel on how you come off on-screen in a video-conference presentation to an audience thousands of miles away, you might like to look at the presentations carried out at last year’s International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR) and decide for yourself what the presenters did effectively and what you might want to bring into your own presentation.
