The International Conference of Undergraduate Research

Undergraduate research on the global stage

Hannah Duffus

15th January 2021 by ICUR Web Admin

Hannah studied a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in History and Spanish and Latin American Studies at Monash University. She first became involved in ICUR in 2016, working as part of the team that organises the Conference and chairing an international panel on the topic of Human Rights. Her role as ICUR Student Director allowed her to bring together a number of her passions, from mentoring students to fostering internationalism and of course undergraduate research! For Hannah, the most valuable element of ICUR was the opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration; by drawing together diversity of minds all trained to think in different ways, ICUR provides fascinating perspective on problems that spill across academic disciplines. She hoped that ICUR presenters’ experiences at ICUR 2017 were both a challenge and an inspiration.
