Hello everyone! I am Daniel Jensen, a second-year Economics student at the University of Warwick. I got engaged in research relatively early in my life. Starting in high school, I quickly learned the crucial statistical methods and economic theory necessary to conduct my first research. Later, my paper was peer-reviewed and submitted to European Union Contest for Young Scientists. I feel that ability to inquire and gaining a full and deep understanding of a given topic, is incredibly empowering. During my first undergraduate research conference, I got inspired by the incredible complexity of the topics that were covered. That’s why I decided to apply for the position of Student Director of the ICUR 2022. Being able to empower, facilitate and inspire research among my peers is a pursuit I find very rewarding. ICUR is a perfect opportunity to gain research presentation skills and serves as an incredible opportunity for us to meet like-minded people who also share the enthusiasm for learning and research. Personally, my research interests include the theory of economic growth and econometrics. In my previous research covered various topics in fiscal economics and macroeconomic theory and empirics.
