My name is Elakiya Ananthakrishnan and I’m a final year Economics student at the University of Warwick. My course has helped me to understand the theoretical side of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, but ICUR has played a critical role in allowing me to see how these methods work on a practical level. Having participated in ICUR2021 as a session chair, I had the chance to appreciate the differences in research and cultural perspectives that makes conferences like ICUR a great place to broaden your worldview. As a Student Director, I look forward to working in a cross-border team and providing a platform for students to share and learn from each other’s research.
